Open Source CD Ripper

Mit dem Open Source Tool CDex lassen sich Audio CD's in verschiedene Formate auslesen. Standardmäßig lassen sich mit CDex die Formate WAV und MP3 auslesen. Um weitere Audioformate zu ermöglichen muss die Software um zusätzliche Codec erweitert werden.

Um Audio CD's auch in FLAC auslesen zu können gehen Sie wie folgt vor:

* Öffnen sie das Programm CDex und legen Sie eine Audio CD in das Laufwerk
* Klicken Sie im Optionen Menü auf den Befehl Einstelleungen und den "Encoder wählen" tab
* Ändern sie das Drop down Menü auf FLAC Encoder DLL
* Löschen sie das Häcken aus der Box neben der "On the fly Encoding" steht
* Stellen sie die Kompressionseinstellung ein (default: -compression-level 5 best: --compression-level 8)
* Klicken Sie auf OK
* Markieren sie die Tracks die sie rippen wollen und klicken Sie auf (Extract CD track(s) to Compressed Audio File(s)

und schon startet CDex den kopiervorgang und rippt ihre Audio CD als FLAC auf die Festplatte.

The open source tool CDex can read audio CD's in various codec. By default you can extract the audio from a CD to WAV and MP3. To enable more audio codec you have to extend CDex with additional Codec.

In order to be able to rip Audio CD's to flac proceed as follows:

* Open CDex and instert an audio CD into your computer drive
* Click on the Options menu, click the Settings command and select the "choose Encoder" Tab
* Change the drop-down menu to FLAC Encoder DLL
* uncheck the box "On the fly Encoding"
* Adjust the compression settings (default: -compression level 5 best: --compression-level 8) (Quality stays the same because it's FLAC)
* click OK
* Select the tracks you want to rip and clic (Extract CD track(s) to Compressed Audio File(s)

and CDex starts to rip the CD with the FLAC Codec to your hard disk

Mit der Freeware FlacSquisher wandeln Sie FLAC Audio Dateien schnell in das beliebe MP3 oder OGG Vorbis Format um und behalten dabei die Ordnerstruktur der Ausgangsmedien bei. Dazu müssen Sie nur den Eingabeordner mit den FLAC Dateien wählen und geben anschließend einen Ausgabeordner an in dem die komprimierte Musik schlussendlich gespeichert werden soll.
