Echtzeit-Skalierung von SD-Qualität bis zu einer Auflösung von 2K (2048 × 1536 Pixel) im 4:3 Modus sowie (2048 × 1150 Pixel) im 16:9 Format, also nochmal einiges besser als die Full HD Auflösung (1920 x 1080 Pixel) sowie Stereoskopie (für 3D-Projekte) sind ebenfalls implementiert. 3D-Editing soll dabei ohne jedes Vorwissen möglich sein, Lightworks übernimmt die nötigen Berechnungen komplett im Hintergrund. Die Software ist für alle gedacht die professionelle Videobearbeitung am PC durchführen wollen, dafür aber trotztdem kein Geld ausgeben möchten.
